Tom Yum soup paste by Lobo is a ready-made base for preparing one of the most popular soups in Thai cuisine. It combines the classic balance of five flavors: sour, sweet, salty, spicy, and savory, creating a rich and harmonious broth.
The paste already contains traditional ingredients such as lemongrass, galangal, tamarind, chili, garlic, and shallots. Thanks to this, there is no need to search for complicated ingredients — simply add the paste to water or broth to enjoy authentic Thai flavor at home.
The aroma of the paste unfolds during heating: the citrus freshness of lemongrass blends with the deep spicy notes of galangal and the light heat of chili. The taste becomes bright, balanced, and very appetizing.
The paste is perfect for Tom Yum soup with shrimp, chicken, or seafood, as well as for noodles, sauces, and wok dishes. For a milder flavor, coconut milk or cream can be added.
Before opening, place the packet in hot water for 1 minute — the paste will soften and be easier to squeeze out.
Use dried herbs: galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and lemongrass, available in our store. Boil 1 liter of water or shrimp broth together with the herbs for 5–10 minutes, then remove them.
Add 1 spoon of Tom Yum paste. Then add mushrooms (oyster mushrooms or champignons), shrimp, or chicken. Cook until ready (about 5 minutes).
At the end, add lime juice, sugar, fish sauce (instead of salt), tomatoes, and roughly chopped onion.
For a milder flavor, add cream or coconut milk at the end.
Before serving, garnish with fresh cilantro.
